Navigating a Post Dobbs Employment Landscape
Presented by a Panel Discussion
This panel discussion will review employee benefits impact of the Supreme Court ruling on Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. The court’s decision overruled both Roe v. Wade (1973) and Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992), giving individual states the full power to regulate any aspect of abortion not preempted by federal law. We will examine state reactions, focusing on Tennessee.
We will discuss what employer plans currently cover regarding abortion and the impact of potential changes for fully and self-insured health plans. We will touch on travel benefits and considerations for abortion that can be added to an existing group plan or a standalone plan outside of ERISA. Finally, our experts will describe a decision tree structure to help your organization identify whether internal communication is expected, appropriate and advised.
