Resilience in the Job Search: Becoming Rejection Proof

Rejection is an inevitable part of the job search process, and the emotional impact on jobseekers isn't talked about enough. How do you bounce back from rejection? We're excited to have Shelly Reed join us to share resilience strategies and lessons about rejection from a recent job seeker's perspective. I'm sure this will be a great discussion. In this session, we will cover:

✅ A summary of the book that inspired Shelly's resilience, Rejection Proof by Jia Jiang.
✅ Rethinking and reframing rejection into redirection.
✅ Finding meaning, freedom, and power in rejection.

Shelly Reed, CPTD, is a Senior Training Specialist at HUB International, where she develops and delivers technical training. With over 15 years of learning and development experience, Shelly has a passion for leveraging technology to innovate learning programs, and has led corporate training across numerous industries including nonprofit, retail, manufacturing, financial, technology, government, and recruitment.

Shelly has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication and Public Relations from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and her love of communication and lifelong learning led her to become involved in the ATD Nashville Chapter first as VP of Conferences and now President Elect. She is also a member of the ATD Chapter Recognition Committee and the National Bleeding Disorder Foundation's LEE Research Advisory Council.

In her free time, she loves to read, travel, check out restaurants in Nashville, watch Star Wars, and spend time with her husband and 3 rescue dogs.

During the meeting, participants will:
