MT|SHRM Monthly Chapter Meeting

MTSHRM Getting to Know The Table

Presented by The Table Action Network

MT|SHRM is pleased to invite you to an in-person event, Getting to Know The Table, in partnership with The Table, a Nashville-based organization dedicated to fostering meaningful conversations around race, diversity, and inclusion.

The Table was created out of conversations within the business community focused on personal experiences related to race, diversity, and inclusion. To move these conversations into action, a board was formed to explore ideas that could create lasting impact. Their guiding question was simple yet powerful: If Nashville became a model city for inclusiveness, what would we have done to make that happen? From this work, The Table identified a core priority — expanding economic prosperity for people of color as a catalyst for broader community and workplace impact.

During this facilitated session, participants will engage in guided discussion focused on understanding inclusivity, learning how to converse effectively with people who may be different from you, exploring what’s happening in today’s DEI landscape, and understanding how The Table’s work can support HR professionals in leading thoughtful, inclusive conversations in the workplace.

This event offers a unique opportunity to sit down with peers, listen, learn, and engage in respectful dialogue in a supportive environment.

We hope you’ll join us at the table.
