Performance Management for the 21st Century
Presented by Tiffany Coursey,SPHR, SHRM-SCP, HR Business Partner, Barge Waggoner Sumner & Cannon
![]() |
Over the past 25 years, performance management systems have often focused on an end of year evaluation for the purpose of determining annual merit increase. Not only do our leaders hate the process, research shows that traditional reviews with performance ratings can even have a negative impact on performance and collaboration. Performance management has so much more potential. The process should not be about differentiating top performers from low performers. Managing performance should be about establishing clarity of expectations and providing feedback in order to help employees succeed. In this presentation, we will discuss the latest research and trends in performance management and how organizations can modify their processes to help employees and organizations succeed. |
During this presentation, attendees will
- Learn how HR processes can impact high performance in people and organizations.
- Discover how to establish performance expectations.
- Design a performance management process that energizes, engages and empowers employees to perform.
Schedule: Doors open at 7:00 am for registration and networking. Buffet breakfast begins at 7:20 am, and the presentation starts promptly at 8:00 am.
