TURNAROUND TALENT: Waking Up to the Generation Mindset
Presented by Dayle A. Savage, Ed.D., Assistant Professor of the Practice in Leadership & Organizational Studies Program Director, Vanderbilt University's Peabody College
| Everyone has experienced that moment at work when you realize that you’re really not like everybody else. You think, act, and behave differently. You do your best to ‘fit in’ but it feels like you’re merely surviving and not thriving. This can go on for weeks, sometimes years; it’s like a bad dream. What you are experiencing is turnaround talent. You turnaround one day and you are no longer a twenty-, thirty-, forty-, or fifty-something in the workplace. “When did this happen?”, you ask yourself. Welcome to your wake-up call! |

In this session, you will be introduced to the realities of generational differences. At the same time you will be enlightened with new information to better prepare and manage everyone you work with and for. As we understand work values and adult development in the workplace, you will leave empowered with the truth about yourself and your work values. You will advocate the ability to manage not only your work and your career but will assist others to do the same.
- Discover the facts regarding generational stereotypes and the evidence that supports these differences.
- Dispel the ‘generation gaps’.
- Discuss the ‘generation mindset’ through today’s work values and adult development.
- Empower professionals to advocate the competence and skills that are uniquely their own.
