Tennessee's New E-Verify Law and Increased I-9 Penalties
Presented by Bruce E. Buchanan,Esq. Attorney, Sebelist Buchanan Law PLLC
| Immigration law is everchanging for employers. On January 1, 2017, Tennessee will become a mandatory E-Verify state for those employers with 50 or more employees. So if your company has 50 or more employees and is not currently using E-Verify, your company will be required to do so. Besides worrying about changes in state immigration law, employers are faced with higher penalties for I-9 violations and other immigration-related violations assessed by federal agencies. Through this presentation, you be up to date on changes in immigration law related to employers. |
