Keeping up with the EEOC: Emerging Trends in Employment Discrimination in 2016
Presented by Jeffrey Mr. Beemer, Member, Dickinson Wright, PLLC
|
The EEOC scored big wins in the U.S. Supreme Court in 2015 on the issues of religious accommodation and pregnancy discrimination. It also secured more than $525 million for alleged victims of discrimination though settlments and litigation. As employers review and revise their personnel policies, they must understand and take into account issues currently on the EEOC's radar. This seminar will explore some of these trending and emerging issues, including: |
|
- The EEOC's proposed addition of pay data to annual EEO-1 reports
- Proposed changes to the EEOC's guidance on workplace retaliation issues
- The EEOC's enforcement activities in persistent and emerging areas of discrimination and harassment in the workplace.
Schedule: Doors open at 11:00 am for registration and networking. Buffet lunch begins at 11:20 am, and the presentation starts promptly at 12:00 noon.
