Data Driven Leadership Selection: A CEO’s Perspective
Presented by Ken Smithmier, President, P3 Insights

This presentation will introduce behavioral assessment tools that can be used in hiring, promotion, succession planning, and performance diagnostics. They will be considered from the point of view of a long time CEO who believes in the value of adding objective data to key human resource decisions. The costs of hiring mistakes are such that failure to obtain every bit of information possible exposes the organization to unnecessary risk.

The fundamental premise is that organizational fit, between the employee, the job, the supervisor, the team, and the company, is the key to reducing hiring mistakes.

When the right fit is found 4 major business objectives are achieved:

  • Turnover decreases
  • Satisfaction increases
  • Productivity increases
  • Costs decrease

Participants attending this session will be able to:

  • Understand behavioral science based options for leadership appraisal and selection
  • Understand the science and methodology behind various assessment tools.
  • Identify strategies for applying assessment tools to measure organizational fit between people, supervisors, teams, and cultures.

Schedule: Doors open at 7:15 am for registration and networking. Buffet breakfast begins at 7:20 am, and the presentation starts promptly at 8:00 am.
