Strategic Workforce Planning in Todays Climate

Workforce planning has always been a valuable skill set in the HR toolkit and a critical part of ensuring a company's future and success. But how do you navigate this already complex process in the face of a global pandemic, country-wide staffing challenges, and a vaccine mandate?

This session will explore how to approach workforce planning in today's labor climate by discussing tool and resource development, data application, and strategic approach.

Registration: MTSU Faculty or Student: $5; Member Registration: $20 by end of business Tuesday October 19, $25 afterwards.

This program has been granted 1 hour of  SHRM recertification credit. TN SHRM is recognized by SHRM as a Recertification Provider to offer Professional Development Credits (PDC's) for the SHRM-CP and SHRM SCP.

Biography:
 
Macie Mussleman is a Human Resources Project Specialist at Brookdale Senior Living in Brentwood, TN. She earned her Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and began working at Brookdale in May 2020. She started with the Field HR team, helping implement key HR strategies to community associates, and in July 2021 transitioned to the Talent Management Team.

While Macie has been at Brookdale, she has worked on a wide variety of projects including turnover and retention analyses, associate recognition, salary structure and commission plan development, selection assessments, and other organizational development strategies. Most recently, she has been leading efforts for labor market analysis, COVID-19 tools and resources, and workforce planning.
